Become a YRK Casual Game Host
Run your own casual football game and help grow the YRK community.
The YRK Casual Game Host role is for members of the community who want to run and grow their own regular football session within YRK.
Our casual games are the heart of the YRK community, bringing players together each week to enjoy football in a relaxed, welcoming environment. A Game Host helps make that happen by organising the session, encouraging new players to join, and building a strong group around their game.
What is a Game Host?
A YRK Casual Game Host takes the lead on one regular football session. This includes promoting the game, maintaining a consistent group of players, and helping create a positive and inclusive atmosphere for everyone involved.
At YRK, we handle most of the organisation behind the scenes — including promotion, systems, and helping grow the session.
Your main role is simply to lead the game night and help bring players together.
To get a new game up and running as quickly as possible, it’s helpful if you already have:
-
A small core group of players ready to play
-
A location or venue suggestion where the game could take place
-
A preferred day and time for the session
-
The willingness to host the game and welcome players each week
These aren’t strict requirements, but having some of these in place helps us launch your session much faster and start building a strong regular game.
If you’re interested in running a game, or have an idea for a session in your area, we’d love to hear from you. YRK is always looking to create more opportunities for people to play football, and with the right starting point we can help turn your idea into a regular weekly game within the YRK community.
