Our Story
YRK FC was founded with a simple idea — bring people together through football in York.
What started as regular local games quickly grew into something bigger. More players wanted structure. More people wanted opportunity. More of the community wanted to be involved. From recreational kickabouts to competitive Sunday League football, YRK FC evolved into a club built on ambition, inclusivity and long-term vision.
We’re not just another grassroots football team. We are building a clear pathway — from casual football to competitive league sides across Sunday, Saturday and Ladies football — creating opportunities for players to develop, represent their city and progress within the game.
Rooted in York and driven by community spirit, YRK FC continues to grow because of the people behind it: players, volunteers, partners and supporters who believe football should be accessible, organised and forward-thinking.
